One day, I and my classmates in STIS had just
finished having lunch in a warteg near
the campus and walked a long the Otto Iskandar Dinata street toward our campus.
We saw a group of students in our way to campus. They were senior high school
students. We knew from the uniform they wear. We walked beside them and I saw
some of them carrying some weapon. I knew that they were going to do a student
brawls.
“53….53….” one of them screamed
Then, from the opposite direction I saw a Metromini
53 going toward us. I thought they screamed because the bus they
wait had come, but my perception is wrong. Suddenly, the bus stopped, a student
from different school got out from the bus bringing a sickle in his hand and
screamed some word that I didn’t know what the mean. Then, a group of student
got out from the bus follow him behind. I knew that the students from the bus
were the enemy of the students near us. A student brawls was happened in front
of us. We walked to the campus building fast to avoid the flying rocks from
them.
Before that time, I only see a student brawls in a
news program on TV. I myself almost don’t believe that the phenomenon is
actually happened because in my regency, student brawls is very seldom to
happen. I always curious to know why they do a student brawls, because I also a
student. Some people or some TV news reporter says the cause of student brawls.
Not only that, this phenomenon is also very often discussed in many forums. I
myself also have some argument about the cause of student brawls.
Some peoples say that students involved in the
student brawls are fool student. They also say the student are the student from
the bad and undisciplined school, the student from a broken family, the student
from the narcotic addict community, and the student from the poor family. I
don’t fully trust with that statement because from the news I have saw, the
school that are often involved to the student brawls is good school with good
reputation and good achievement. From the news also I know that the student
that involved in student brawls are not always come from poor and broken
family. They come from a rich family and harmonies family. From this, I can
conclude that some argument above is not fully proofed. Even, I believe that
the economic condition of their family is not influence with their student
brawls behaviour. Even though, in some condition the problem in family causes
their bad behaviour outside the house, like doing a student brawls. But, the
student brawls is done by a hundred or
thousand students, and it is impossible that all of their family is broken, and
also it is impossible that all of them are narcotic addict.
Criminal behaviour is learned. This means that criminal
behaviour is not inherited. Some professionals have learned this phenomenon and
conclude that the student brawls is link to psychological condition of the
students. The psychological condition is affected by the environment they most
attend. In this case, the environment is school. So, the school which is often
involved to the student brawls will always
be the school which always have student brawls case, because the student
is often interact with the student who is often involved in student brawls. The
student who study in school with the students who is often doing student brawls
will naturally learn what the student brawl are. Their mindset is built by
student brawls performer, so in their mindset student brawls is right to be
done. This is the mean that psychological condition affect their behaviour.
Student brawls performers have the higher solidarity
with their friend than the usual student. Because of high frequency of their
meeting, the solidarity is higher. In extreme condition, they prefer defend
their friend to follow the truth although their friend is wrong. This high
solidarity will easier to be seen when they have a problem with other group.
When one of their member is hit by other group, they will defend their friend
even if they have to fight with other group.
The other factor that cause the student brawls is
the lack of the law that set the student brawls problem. The student brawls
performer is only given some advice by the police if they are arrested when
doing student brawls. This condition build the mindset in other student that
doing student brawls is save from the police law. Because of this, the student
will think that the student who ever have problem with the police is cool, so
some student choose to follow their friend to do a student brawls.
The wrong perception in student brawls performer is
that the student brawls is a place to find their identity. They think the
student who have ever involved in student brawls will have a honour in their
community, and will be feared by other. This perception make some student
choose to follow their friend to do student brawls. They also think if they
don’t follow their friend they will be a loser in their school.
From some statements above, I can conclude that
actually student brawls is not caused by the condition in their home, but this
is caused by the interaction they do in their school. Student brawls is not
inherited but it is learned by the interaction with the student brawls
performer. So I suggest if you don’t want your child, your brother, and your
family involve in student brawls, don’t let them study in school that their
students are often involved in student brawls.
ceritanya, beberapa hari yang lalu Himada IKMKK ngadain plesir bareng ke pulau Untung Jawa di Kepulauan Seribu. Sebelumnya sih saya udah waah duluan mau pergi ke pulau lain, bayangannya itu mau ke kepulauan seribu yang diujung sana, bersama kapal menaklukkan ombak, diterjang badai menabrak karang, digulung ombak diterpa angin, dan akhirnya sampai di pulau disambut penduduk dengan adat mereka bak menyambut kesatria-kesatria penakluk lautan. Memang, itu ekspektasi yang terlalu tinggi karena pada akhirnya saya temukan kami menaiki kapal penyeberang dengan kecepatan tidak lebih dari citah berlari, #ya iyalah, oke, tidak lebih dari orang berlari, tak ada ombak menggulung-gulung, tak ada badai dan angin mengamuk-amuk, dan yang jelas, tak ada lautan di sepanjang mata memandang, karena kami masih bisa melihat pulau Jawa sebagai titik awal kami menyeberang, dan pulau Untung Jawa titk kami akan singgah. Ya, kami menyebrang ke pulau terdekat. Apapun itu, itu jalan-jalan yang memang waah, bukan karena kemewahan sarana dan prasarana, tapi karena kebersamaan yang membuat semua tampak mewah, dan mengesankan.
Singkat cerita, setelah sekitar setengah jam menyeberang, kami sampai di pulau. Lumayan bersih, indah, dan nyaman. Acara diawali dengan gathering di sebuah gedung yang sudah disewa oleh panitia, (salut untuk panitia). Berkumpul bersama teman-teman satu himada itu rasanya seperti acara kumpul keluarga saat lebaran. Himada memang satu-satunya keluarga yang menaungi kami di sini, teman-teman satu daerah, satu bahasa, berkumpul dalam satu wadah, IKMKK. Acara diisi dengan game, yang tentunya bisa membuat kami lebih saling mengenal. Di kampus, kami memang saling mengenal, saling tahu kalau sama-sama anggota himada, tapi untuk orang-orang tertentu di mata saya tidak lebih dari itu, hanya tahu kalau sama-sama satu himada, gak lebih. Dengan acara semacam ini, tentu diharapkan keakraban akan tercipta, terutaman buat saya agar lebih mengenal siapa keluarga-keluarga saya di jakarta, anggota himada.
Setelah Dhuhur, kegiatan kami lanjutkan dengan ber-banana boot ria, dan ber-snorkling di pantai pulau tersebut. Menjelang maghrib, kami balik menyebrang ke pulau Jawa. Acara kumpul himada semakin terasa menarik ketika jalanan berubah menjadi sangat macet saat kami pulang. Bersaman kopaja yang empuk, kami lalui bersama kemacetan itu. Tak kurang dari 5 jam perjalanan kami lalui, ngaret sekitar 3 jam dari waktu normal.
Capek, panas, kesel karena macet, lapar, tak terasa ketika kita merasa senang. Semoga kekeluargaan akan terus tercipta di IKMKK
